Description :

Duties and Responsibilities:

This role involves the following activities:

Exploring New Business Opportunities 

-Identifying new Business opportunities in Transmission & Distribution
-Conducting market research across RoA to identify upcoming projects and tenders and create a pipeline of projects.
-Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, market potential, and financials
-Develop market research methods and indicators to identify major prospects.
-Establish modalities to determine the probability of winning each major identified project to assist in the total forward planning of workload and resources
-Identifying and tie-ups with strategic contractors and suppliers in each country
-Develop long-term relationships with relevant contacts.

Regional P&L
-Creating Marketing Plans for the region
-Participating in Budgeting exercise to create Marketing Strategies
-Collaboration with proposal team members to define the optimal solution and pricing strategy
-Business Networking with Client and Partners
-Meeting with Prospective clientele across various utilities
-Establishing network to obtain first- hand information on new developments
-Creating a network with Government bodies and financiers

Competitor Mapping
-Creating Database of competitors in the region
-Analyzing Business modalities and bidding strategies
-Identifying key drivers for the business
-Checking for synergies across the regions

Evaluating Techno-commercial requirements and compliances
-Performing checks on new tender scope and requirements
-Checking for Qualification requirements, technical specifications
-Performing compliance checks vis a vis L&T's credentials
-Studying Feasibility reports and identifying risks and issues
-Risk analysis, supported by expert functions within the proposal team

Pre/Post Bid Stage Support
-Provide insights into the territory and regions during pre-bid stage
-Support in conducting risk analysis and site surveys (as needed)
-Support during tendering for documentation and quality checks (as needed)
-Prepare necessary documentation for attending contract negotiation meeting (as needed)
-Attend contract negotiation meeting for the new tenders
-Support for compiling documents requested during pre-award meetings

Promoting L&T Brand
-Participating in Business forums and exhibitions
-Showcasing L&T capabilities and achievements in various forums
-Creating brand awareness by Business networking through conferences, seminars, corporate presentations and international events
-Exhibiting though international conferences and business meets to market L&T brand to the prospective clients
-Making visits to the clients and partners in respective countries for positioning of L&T brand

Customer Relationship Management
-Communicating with clients for feedback on ongoing projects
-Providing support in case of any special requirements and new orders
-Addressing grievances for customers post-bid and after contract completion stage
-Creating analysis on customer's satisfaction levels and sending feedback to respective departments
-Making recommendations for improvements to the relevant processes and actively participate in implementation of the same


Education : Electrical Engineering MBA (preferred)

Experience: 5-10yrs of experience in the field of Power Transmission and Distribution (Substations/Transmission line/ Distribution/ Product). Experience in tendering/ business development would be preferable.
